Myself Shubham Kumar, Currently working at Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles(VECV), Pithampur , Madhya Pradesh in E-Axle design team.

My role includes:

• To select the traction Motor and Controller for an EV based on Performance evaluation and calculation.
• To review the Packaging of traction motor and Controller and make modifications as per vehicle environment
• To look after the interface design of Powertrain Components :design of LV harness, HV harness and to look after the CAN communication of it.
•  After successful design of E-Axle to look after the issues coming on powertrain components and to propose the solution of it.
•  To do the dynamometer testing of developed E-Axle and E-motor and generate the report.
• To do the hardware testing of Powertrain Components at bench level to check CAN communication.
• To assist in NPD using simulation and calibration of sensors.
• To Perform internal audits of DFMEA,PAA and RTS within VECV and with Suppliers.

Key Milestones:

1. Successfully Completed the project of 3.5T and 5T from Concept to SOP.
2. B-release of 12.8T E-Axle
3. Received TBEMEF Award for set up of Electromobility lab at VECV and perform durability testing of 3.5T E-Axle
4. Successfully troubleshooted all the failures coming during Validation of Proto build using Hardware testing of Powertrain Components
