Job Description
The EV Battery Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high‑performance battery packs for electric vehicles. Work spans cell chemistry selection, module architecture, thermal management strategy, mechanical enclosure design, and manufacturability. The role collaborates with electrical, thermal, and mechanical teams; runs CAE simulations; supports prototype builds; and ensures compliance with UN38.3, IEC 62660, AIS‑156 and related standards.
Skills
Li‑ion/LFP/solid‑state chemistries; CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks); thermal simulation (ANSYS/COMSOL); BMS fundamentals (SOC/SOH, balancing); DFMEA; DVP&R; tolerance analysis; weld/seal processes
Education
B.E./B.Tech or M.S./M.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy Systems; specialization in energy storage preferred
Work Experience
3–6 years in EV battery pack design or stationary ESS
