EV Supply Chain Manager – Electric Vehicle Components
Job Description
Own end‑to‑end planning, sourcing, procurement, and logistics for EV components (battery, motors, controllers, EVSE). Build a resilient, cost‑effective supplier base, negotiate long‑term agreements, and implement inventory strategies that align with production schedules. Partner with engineering/quality to qualify suppliers, reduce risk via multi‑sourcing, and drive on‑time deliveries with KPI dashboards. Lead S&OP cadence and orchestrate cross‑functional execution.
Skills
• Supplier evaluation, qualification, and multi‑year contract negotiation
• ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics) and S&OP leadership
• Inventory control, demand forecasting, and safety stock strategy
• Global sourcing, lead‑time compression, and dual‑sourcing plans
• Cost reduction (VA/VE), should‑costing, and total landed cost analysis
• Vendor audits, APQP/PPAP alignment, and compliance with IATF/ISO
• Import/export regulations, INCOTERMS, customs documentation
• Risk registers, mitigation and business continuity planning
• Executive communication and cross‑functional leadership
Education
Bachelor’s in Mech/Electrical/Industrial or Supply Chain; MBA preferred
Work Experience
7–12 years in automotive/EV supply chain management
