Job description: Electromechanical Design Engineer

Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore

About The Gig

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the design, development, and integration of electro-mechanical systems and components for electric two-wheelers. The role requires strong expertise in CAD design, system integration, and product validation, with a focus on innovation, cost optimization, and robust engineering practices.

What You’ll Do
Design and development of Electro mechanical parts like Vehicle controller, motor controller, sensors, actuators other electromechanical parts
Hands on experience with designing of plastic, sheetmetal and casting products
Experience with defining FMEA for products, which included B-diagram, P-Diagram, detailed failure studies and defining DVP accordingly.
Handling full life cycle of product from scratch till production, which includes Design, FMEA, DFA, DFM,DFS, Testing and validation.
Value addition and value engineering for existing products.
Engaging with suppliers for new development, which includes defining SOR, DVP, reviewing 2D and 3D.
Performing 5-D analysis (RCA Analysis), defining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
Responsible for testing and validation of product with help of testing team which includes tests like Thermal, Vibration, shock , IP6k and many others.
Experience in designing products with IP rated as per product specification and requirements

What You Bring

Btech/Metch with specialization in Mechanical or Mechatronics or Automobile Engineering
2-4years of experience
Hands on experience in NX and Drafting
Experience with designing electromechanical parts, which includes IP rated part(IP 64/65/67) and which meets automotive standards
Manufacturing feasibility of sheetmetal, plastic and casted parts.
Experience of handling thermal conductivity and electrical conductive materials which will be part of the product.
Good knowledge in stackup, drafting and GD&T
Hands on experience with defining FMEA, DFX and DVP
