It is looking to hire in India to provide excellent customers service to the automotive clients based in India.

The Design Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of product designs, ensuring they meet both customer requirements and industry standards. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, creativity in design, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact between customer and Desay R&D on test strategy (DV, PV), test plan review, test cases proposal.
Work closely with customers to gather their test requirements and specifications in a document.
Analyze and evaluate customer test requirements. Highlighting key topics and technical risk that could lead to technical deviation.
Participate in test requirements discussion with various disciplines (EE, SW, ME).
Participate actively in the acquisition, RFI, RFQ. Review customers’ test plan and feedback to project.
Conduct joint in-vehicle testing with the customer. Collect data from the test.
Ensure proper test plan update, test status update in consultation with headquarter and present status to customers.
Resolve customers’ concerns on product testing issues during the product lifecycle with project goals in mind. Provide lessons learned.
Handle multiple projects to completion with quality, cost, and schedule as key guidance.
Demonstrate good knowledge of the PLC (Project Life Cycle).
Support Value Engineering (VE) in collaboration with EE/ Software Architects and Platform teams on testing aspects.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electronics and Electrical, Mechatronics.
More than 6 years of working experience in product test case design, testing and test plan creation in Automotive industry.
Knowledge of basic test standards and specifications (Electrical Tests, Environmental Tests, Mechanical Tests, Life Tests, EMC Tests) in the automotive industry.
Basic knowledge of vehicle structure and electronics.
Knowledge of Product Certification Process, Standards.
Knowledge of FMEA and DFMEA process.
Quality Management knowledge.
Test strategy design and review.
Test case requirement analysis, design, and review.
Test plan and certification plan creation.
Experience/ Knowledge in product development and the applicable standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ASPICE).
Proficient in using Vector tools: CANoe, CANape, and CAPL scripts will be an advantage.
Possess good technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrate good knowledge of the Automotive PLC project life cycle.
Willingness to travel domestically (80%) and internationally (10-20%).

Pay: ₹100,000.00 – ₹230,000.00 per month
