Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test power electronic systems and components.
Analyze and optimize power electronic circuits for efficiency, performance, and reliability.
Select appropriate power semiconductor devices, passive components, and control strategies for specific applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and firmware/software engineers to integrate power electronics into larger systems.
Conduct simulations and modeling using software tools.
Create technical documentation including specifications, design reports, and test procedures.
Troubleshoot and debug power electronics circuits and systems.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics technology and industry trends.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, procurement, and field service teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in power electronics design.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
Proven experience in power electronics design, analysis, and testing.
Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, and diodes.
Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or PLECS.
Knowledge of control techniques such as PWM, resonant converters, and digital control.
Familiarity with thermal management techniques for power electronic systems.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical information.
