Job Description
Role: Powertrain Electrical Components (PEC) Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
Define Powertrain Electrical/Electronic components specification for the Starting, Generating & Ignition system.
Defining and evaluation of Engine Management System Interfaces, functions, and Controls
Electrical components Hardware Evaluation/testing at Part & Vehicle level
Conducting components development with Suppliers like Technical reviews & Project Schedule Monitoring
Process confirmation of Electrical and Electronics components
Work with System team to identify the electrical interfaces & calibration.
Making drawings, 3D data, layouting and packaging parts in vehicle.
Conducting design studies for new product and problem analysis
Technical/ Functional
Knowledge of Electrical & Electronics in Vehicle and various Components
Knowledge of Powertrain systems (Architecture, modeling and simulations and design considerations)
Experience in testing at Component bench and vehicle level
Experience of BOM creation, Project scheduling
Electronic Controller testing, electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of ISO 26262
Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Powertrain Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with onboard diagnostics.
Exposure to Regulations, and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 041, AIS038, AIS102, AIS 048
Knowledge of working with CAD softwares
Problem analysis, Root cause analysis
