Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong fundamentals in physics and mathematics to drive innovative solutions in powertrain development.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards such as ISO26262 throughout powertrain design and development processes.
Utilize expertise in Electric Motors, including BLDC, PMSM, SRM & SynRM, to optimize powertrain performance.
Contribute to Grid Management and Power Electronics initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Employ Motor development software such as MotorCAD, FLUX Motor, or similar tools for efficient motor design.
Apply sound knowledge of electromagnetic concepts to enhance powertrain efficiency and reliability.
Lead the design of electrical systems for high voltage batteries, battery management systems, electrical motors, and components, leveraging experience in the wire harness industry.
Conduct thermal management simulations using MATLAB Simulink or equivalent tools, ensuring adherence to HEV/EV regulations and standards such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048, & AIS 084.
Drive basic R&D efforts in battery assembly and packing, optimizing performance and durability.
Perform Electrical & Electronics fault diagnosis utilizing OBD interface tools like DiagBox, GARUDA, or similar platforms.
Demonstrate proficiency in CAN communication protocols and other relevant communication standards.
Apply basic knowledge of PCB design and circuit analysis to support powertrain development.
Utilize debugging and measuring instruments such as DSO, DMM, LCR meter, Protocol analyzer, etc., for effective troubleshooting.
Utilize 3D routing electrical harness using CREO parametric and experience in Windchill and SAP or similar platforms.
Ensure robust Motor control unit design and implementation to meet performance objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in powertrain development, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MATLAB, CREO Parametric, Windchill, SAP, etc.
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving requirements.
Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in powertrain development.
Experience with electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technologies is highly desirable.
Certification in relevant areas such as ISO26262, CAN communication protocols, etc., is a plus.
