Salary range: Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000 (based on experience and skillset)
Note: Locals will be preferred.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Power Electronics Engineer to join our team developing next-generation powertrain solutions for electrified vehicles. You will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing passive power components, mixed-mode circuits, and power modules for our electric vehicle applications. You will leverage your knowledge of materials, thermal management, and manufacturing processes to create innovative solutions that achieve superior performance at lower costs, weights, and sizes.
Responsibilities:
Develop passive power components, including power capacitors and inductors, for electrified automotive powertrains, focusing on optimizing performance, cost, weight, and size.
Investigate and research advanced inductor core materials and capacitor dielectric materials for improved efficiency and performance.
Perform detailed component-level analysis to identify locations and conditions of high electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical stress within the power electronics system.
Survey and investigate advanced circuit topologies, component technologies, board technologies, packaging technologies, and manufacturing processes to further enhance circuit performance, fault tolerance, and reduce overall cost, weight, and size.
Design and develop mixed-mode circuits for power electronics applications, prioritizing high accuracy, robustness, and low power consumption.
Consolidate discrete components into hybrid integrated circuits (ICs) to improve robustness and functionality, while also reducing cost, size, and weight.
Integrate power modules, cooling systems, gate drives, discrete components, and sensors into a single package for optimal layout, enhanced robustness, easier manufacturing, and lower overall cost.
Utilize CAD software for the design of plastic parts, sheet metal components, and die castings used in power electronics systems.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to ensure a smooth transition of developed concepts into production.
Maintain a strong understanding of IGBT-based power electronics technologies and their application in electric vehicle powertrains.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.
Strong understanding of passive power components (capacitors, inductors) and their behavior in electric vehicle powertrains.
Experience with researching and analyzing advanced component materials for power electronics applications.
Proficiency in power electronics analysis tools and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, PLECS).
Solid knowledge of thermal management principles for power electronics systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
Benefits:
Competitive salary and benefits package
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of transportation
Collaborative and innovative work environment
