Job Description
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
10-15 years’ relevant experience in a technical communications role
Comprehensive EDA or other relevant industry experience preferred
Skills:
Adobe Creative Suite desktop publishing tools, especially FrameMaker, Captivate, Acrobat
Microsoft Office desktop publishing tools, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Confluence wiki authoring environment
UNIX and Linux operating systems
Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Concise, clean, well-organized, error-free writing
Scripting and automation skills preferred
Responsibilities:
Work with multiple disciplines (R&D, Customer Support, Product Validation, Product Engineering etc.), across the globe, in order to establish documentation requirements through a variety of source materials, tool expertise, and research
Work with peers, cross-functional team members, and managers to write and produce product documentation
Identify gaps and initiate, define, and implement processes to facilitate smooth delivery of all technical communication
Identify the requirement for and produce related release collateral, such as video demos, application notes, rapid adoption kits, error messages, or man help, in collaboration with technical communications and cross-functional peers
Acquire, research, and review source material, including design specifications, interface design, and test specifications to help improve software quality, consistency, and usability
Define, generate, analyze, and act on reports for monitoring documentation completeness and quality
Provide guidance and mentoring to experienced staff members . Management experience a plus.
