Embedded tester for Battery Management System (BMS)

Job Description:

Engineer in this position is responsible for the quality of Battery Management System (BMS) controller software, before the final vehicle testing. The BMS under test is for various hybrid & electric vehicles of Mercedes-Benz, and the validation is performed with the VT (Vector) system based test bench
Technical evaluation & analysis and understanding of the requirement specification for BMS controller
In-depth coverage of requirements by developing test specification, also considering the system know-how
Automation of the test specification using VTest Stuido & CAPL
Test execution & result analysis using the VT system test bench

Specific Required Knowledge: (Skill / Languages etc.)

Must to have
- Domain Knowledge:- Strong fundamentals in electrical domain

- Testing Skills- HIL testing experience using VT system
ECU Function testing experience

- Tools/protocols experience: - VTest Studio
CAPL
Communication Protocols: CAN, UDS
DOORS

- Other skills:- Good communication & interpersonal skills
Good analytical ability

Desired to have
- Domain Knowledge:- System Knowledge: Alternate power train, Battery etc

- Testing Skills- ECU Diagnostics
Fault simulation

- Tools/protocols experience: - CAN, LIN

- Other skills:- German knowledge & work exposure

Qualification
Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics engineering
