Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
M&M is looking for an aspirational engineer who is self motivated and with the drive to bring positive change among the life of customers.
This role is within the COE Thermal team and will work closely with CDMM, Quality, Service, Manufacturing, Validation, and suppliers to design and deliver powertrain Cooling systems as per target performance, within target cost & time.
Responsible for conceptualizing and designing cutting edge thermal system for ICE vehicles & xEVs with optimum efficiency, performance, reliability and safety regulations.
Design and packaging of powertrain cooling system components to meet system and vehicle requirements including efficiency, cost, weight, manufacturability and serviceability
Manage suppliers and internal CFT to ensure timely program deliverables within budget
Derive and signoff component level and system level specifications based on vehicle level requirements.
Create / Review of technical documents including DFMEA, DVP, Drawing, SOR, CIR, Lessons learnt, 1D Simulation reports, etc.
Support for the project throughout the development including conceptualization, design release, various builds, validation, SOP and field support
Perform / Review system calculations & simulations
Diagnose various build, technical issues in vehicle and to resolve the concern
Manage conflicts with Interface team
Suggestions for Quality improvement, IMCR & Localization
Advanced technlogy development and implementation

Qualifications
Bachelor in Mechanical / Automotive
[or] Masters in Thermal / Heat transfer / R&AC
General Requirements
Knowledge of ICE, EV thermal management & its interface systems
