Thermal management is one of the highest-leverage engineering disciplines in EV — every percentage point of efficiency gain or every minute shaved off fast-charge time has a direct customer-experience impact. Interviewers test breadth across pack + cabin + motor + power-electronics cooling.

Battery pack cooling

  • Walk through air-cooled vs liquid-cooled vs immersion-cooled pack designs and where each makes sense.
  • Design a coolant flow rate for a 60kWh pack accepting 150kW DC fast charging — what assumptions drive the answer?
