Role overview

Installers are the front-line workforce of India's charging rollout. The job covers site survey, civil layout review, conduit and cable runs, terminations, earthing, RCD and ELCB checks, and a full commissioning report. Strong candidates know IS / IEC 61851 inside-out and can hand over a station ready for OEM-approved commissioning.

Work is field-based with extensive travel within the assigned region. Most installers spend 70% of their week on-site and 30% in the local depot for parts, training and paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair the assigned EV vehicle category using OEM-prescribed diagnostic tools and procedures.
  • Follow high-voltage safety protocols at all times — LOTO, insulated PPE, Class-0 gloves and isolation checks.
  • Maintain accurate job cards, parts consumption and warranty claim documentation in the dealership DMS.

Requirements

  • ITI Diploma in Automotive / Electrical / Mechanic trade.
  • ASDC EV technician certification (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent OEM certification.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with EV high-voltage systems.
