Resume Templates for EV Manufacturing & Service Roles
Resume structure for EV manufacturing engineers, plant supervisors and service technicians — what recruiters and dealership managers look for.
CEO - eMobility.Careers
Manufacturing and service CVs are evaluated differently from engineering ones. Plant managers and service heads scan for certifications, hands-on metrics and OEM-specific experience. Here's the structure that works.
Recommended structure
- Name, contact, address (city + state — local hires preferred)
- Headline — '5-year EV service technician | ASDC L4 | Tata + Ather certified'
- Summary — 2-3 sentences with vehicle categories served + customer-satisfaction scores
- Certifications — at the top, prominently displayed
- Skills — diagnostic tools, HV safety, OEM-specific procedures
- Experience — reverse chronological, with concrete numbers (vehicles serviced, CSI, first-time-right)
- Education — ITI / diploma details
- Languages — local language + Hindi + English
Skills section — what to list
- Vehicle categories — 2W EV, 3W EV, 4W EV, electric bus
- OEM diagnostic scanners — Tata DDS, Ather One App, MG iSMART, Ola DiagOS
- HV safety procedures — LOTO, insulated PPE, isolation testing
- Specific repairs you can do — BMS reset, controller swap, motor replacement
- Workshop-management tools — DMS systems, parts inventory
Manufacturing-specific additions
- Plants worked at + machinery types (laser welder, automated line)
- OEE / first-time-right metrics you've moved
- Kaizens you've authored
- ASDC Level 4 / 5 certifications
- Six Sigma yellow / green belt if held
What to leave out
- Marital status, age, photo (no longer expected)
- Generic skills (MS Office unless office-bound role)
- Multi-page padding — 1 page is enough
- References on the CV (provide on request)
Where to go from here
Manufacturing and service CVs work best when they front-load certifications and metrics. A dealer service head wants to see Tata or Ather certifications in the first 5 seconds. Make those visible at the top.
